Mental health affected 1 in 4 people prior to the coronavirus pandemic. So many have struggled to cope and the virus has only made things worse with financial worries, isolation and fear to name a few. There was a mental health crisis long before Covid-19 and this will continue long after the lockdowns are over and retrictions are eased.

I share my story with employees and students on battling suicide, recovery, managing mental health and inspiring others to get the most out of life.

Mental illness does not mean the end or define how good you can be!

Hosting various sessions virtually or in person at your workplace, includingthe following:

Raising awareness, giving insights, tools and techniques to how I manage my mental health and wellbeing, how to spot signs and sympytoms early, avoid burnout and approach those who need the help.

Mental health affects more people than you know and the likelihood is, you’ve had interaction with more than one person today who could potentially be silently dealing with anxiety, depression, low mood, obsessive thoughts and more. According to the mental health charity, Mind, 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and in England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) a week. (source;  https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/statistics-and-facts-about-mental-health/how-common-are-mental-health-problems/ ).

Drop-in support for employees

As a qualified Mental Health First Aider and with experience as a Listening Volunteer at Samaritans (mental health charity) alongside my own experience, knowledge and training on mental health topics, I can sit down with your employees individually and provide emotional support on an ongoing basis.

I will actively listen empathetically and non-judgementally and have the conversations that may be difficult but worthwhile having.

Employees may worry about speaking to management on topics that are affecting them through fears of job loss, judgement or potentially slowing down career progression.

Our conversations will be confidential and non-judgemental. I will work with employees on an individual or small group basis to work towards solutions and ultimately help to improve their wellbeing and productivity. I will create a thorough report and present my findings and suggestions to management.

**Please get in touch to discuss your options further. Initial consultation free of charge**
